Join us on Thursday 12th November 2026 for an unforgettable evening discovering Whitehaven’s haunted past.

Your evening begins with a Haunted Histories Harbour Walking Tour, where you’ll uncover fascinating stories and eerie tales from the town’s past. (Weather permitting.)

We’ll then head to our cosy courtyard at The Rum Story, where you can enjoy rum tasting and delicious nibbles before the evening takes a darker turn…

Finally, venture inside The Rum Story for a spine-tingling ghost tour, exploring the stories, secrets and hauntings hidden within this historic building.

Time – Arrive between 5:45 and 6pm. We expect the evening to finish at about 8pm ish.

Location – The Rum Story, Whitehaven.

Enjoy three different shots of our iconic Jeffersons Rum, guided by a Rum Story expert who will introduce you to the flavours and stories behind each tasting.

🍽️ Delicious Nibbles

Enjoy handmade nibbles from Mrs McCourts Munch, specially selected to complement the flavours of Jeffersons Rum. If you have specific dietary requirements please contact us after booking a ticket, before the 5th November so we can accomodate.

👻 Exclusive After-Hours Ghost Tour

Venture inside The Rum Story for a spine-tingling ghost tour, with exclusive after-hours access to the original 18th-century bonded warehouse and cellars. Discover the stories, secrets and hauntings hidden within this historic building.

🎟️ Important booking information

  • Spaces are limited, and a ticket is required for entry. We’ve capped numbers to ensure everyone can fully enjoy the experience.
  • Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be available on the night.
  • One ticket is required per attending person.
  • This is a strictly 18+ event.
  • Our Challenge 25 policy applies. Anyone who appears under 25 will be asked to provide valid photographic ID. Failure to provide acceptable ID will mean you cannot participate, and no refund will be issued.
  • Tickets are non-refundable.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday and take between 5 and 7 days to arrive. £5.95 per delivery address.
Next Working Day Delivery - available Monday to Friday.
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday subject to availability. Orders must be placed before 12pm on weekdays. £9.95 per delivery address.
Click and Collect
You can also order your gifts online and come and collect them in our Lowther Street store in Whitehaven. Our Click and Collect service will not be available on Bank Holidays.
Please bring a copy of your order confirmation and photo ID with you when you come to collect your order.
Any items not collected after 4 days will be returned to our shelves and we’ll contact you to arrange a refund.
