Get ready to roam, discover, and have a blast at Explorer’s Day Out—adventure awaits!

Treat your little explorer to a fun-filled summer day at The Rum Story!

This special children’s ticket includes:

  • Entry to our interactive exhibition
  • A hands-on slime-making workshop
  • A tasty snack and drink

Combining history with hands-on creativity, it’s the perfect experience for curious minds to explore, create and enjoy a memorable day out.

Your adventure begins with a journey through Whitehaven’s fascinating history in The Rum Story’s immersive exhibition from 10:00am to 11:00am. Then, head to our Vault for a fun, hands-on slime-making workshop from 11:00am to 12:00pm.

After getting creative, enjoy a snack and drink before returning to the exhibition to discover how the demand for sugar and rum shaped the lives of millions of people around the world.

Tickets cost £13.

UK Standard Delivery - 5 working days
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday and take between 5 and 7 days to arrive. £5.95 per delivery address.
Next Working Day Delivery - available Monday to Friday.
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday subject to availability. Orders must be placed before 12pm on weekdays. £9.95 per delivery address.
Click and Collect
You can also order your gifts online and come and collect them in our Lowther Street store in Whitehaven. Our Click and Collect service will not be available on Bank Holidays.
Please bring a copy of your order confirmation and photo ID with you when you come to collect your order.
Any items not collected after 4 days will be returned to our shelves and we’ll contact you to arrange a refund.
